In the first half of 2025, global smart glasses shipments skyrocketed by 110% year-over-year, with AI smart glasses accounting for 78% of the market, reshaping the competitive landscape of consumer electronics. Meta leads with an absolute dominance of 73%, driven by a 200% surge in its Ray-Ban series shipments. Meanwhile, Huawei, TCL’s RayNeo, and Xiaomi collectively broke into the global top five for the first time, forming a “Chinese brand triumvirate.”
Huawei, partnering with Gentle Monster, secured the second spot with its fashionable design; RayNeo focused on AR R&D to rank third; and Xiaomi emerged as a dark horse, with its first AI glasses jumping to fourth globally within just one week of launch. Pricing strategies proved critical: Xiaomi’s ultra-affordable 1999 RMB model drove mass-market adoption, while Huawei targeted the premium segment with 2,000-4,000 RMB devices, collectively challenging Meta’s monopoly.
