1月15日，智能眼鏡製造商 Mentra 正式發布其首款產品 Mentra Live，並宣布即日起開放購買。該眼鏡搭載開放式作業系統，此前已向開發者提供近一年的 SDK 支援。
本次發布的核心亮點是專為智能眼鏡打造的 MiniApp Store，支援 iOS 與 Android 系統接入。據悉，這是業界首個針對智能眼鏡設計的應用程式商店，目前已上架筆記工具、棋類助手等輕量化應用。其中「國際象棋助手」可藉助攝影機與 AI 即時分析棋盤，並向佩戴者提示建議走法。
硬體方面，Mentra Live 採用聯發科 MTK8766 晶片，配備 1200 萬畫素攝影機，視場角達 119°，支援多平台即時視訊直播。整機重量控制在 43 克，單次續航超過 12 小時，配合充電盒可額外獲得 50 小時以上使用時間。該設備支援配戴處方鏡片，售價定為 300 美元。
根據官方計劃，首批 1000 台設備將於 2 月 15 日起發貨，第二批訂單預計在今年第一季內交付。
Mentra Launches First Smart Glasses, Mentra Live
On January 15, smart glasses manufacturer Mentra officially launched its first product, the Mentra Live, and announced that it is available for purchase starting today. The glasses run an open operating system and have provided SDK support to developers for nearly a year.
The highlight of this release is the MiniApp Store, designed specifically for smart glasses and compatible with both iOS and Android. It is reportedly the industry’s first app store tailored for smart glasses, currently featuring lightweight applications such as note-taking tools and a chess assistant. The “Chess Assistant” uses the camera and AI to analyze the chessboard in real time and suggest moves to the wearer.
In terms of hardware, the Mentra Live is powered by a MediaTek MTK8766 chip, features a 12-megapixel camera with a 119° field of view, and supports real-time video streaming across multiple platforms. The device weighs 43 grams, offers over 12 hours of battery life on a single charge, and can be extended by more than 50 additional hours with the charging case. It also supports prescription lenses and is priced at $300.
According to the official plan, the first batch of 1,000 units will begin shipping on February 15, with the second batch expected to be delivered within the first quarter of this year.
